During this workshop we learned about 3d model making with different types of materials which is very important as an architect student.
First, we have gone through a brief description of materials which we were going to use for the model making. For example, cardboard, mountboards and foam boards. First we did some warm up exercises such as we made some small cutting techniques in order to understand some techniques.

Then, we started to make the given house. I was given two paper which was a concept house and the plans with measurements. I started to measure the mountboard and did some sketching in order to cut the board. First, I measured and sketched each walls separately. Then, I cut it with craft knife and it was hard challenging. This was my first time to cut a mountboard and make a house. Then , I cut it very carefully therefore I could get clean cut endings. Then , I focussed on the doors and the windows. I cut them out . Then , I attached the walls together with glue . Then , I continued the process step by step. Then , I started to draw and cut the roof. Here even though I was careful with the measurement, my measurement was wrong so I had to draw again. Then , I pasted the roof to the house. Furthermore, I used cardboard and acetate for the windows and doors. Then, I attached the house for a hardboard.

This is was the measurements of the house. However this is the final outcomes of the house.
This is just a description of the task - add at the end of the post a short discussion on why this is important as an architecture student.
