Art Portfolio Final Reflection

 In this post, I am going to reflect on the journey of Art Portfolio Project 1 and I am going to reflect on how I encounter different types of challenges and how I overcame throughout the project. 

In the beginning of the project, I have gone through different activities and experiments with different materials in order to come up with different ideas to develop the project. I have selected the theme " Earthly Delights "as the main theme among four themes. However, I have experimented and discovered numerous ideas in order to develop the project idea. Furthermore, I have researched on several architects , designs and architectural styles  to get inspired by them to design unique and creative architectural design. Specifically, "Negah villa" was my initial inspiration which made me to select the "Earthly Delights" theme and come up with an idea to design an "Eco - Villa". Not only this but also , I decided to choose a different location which I can choose different architectural style from the previous architectural style which I selected for the term 1. "Tropical Modernism architectural style" is an unique architectural style for tropical countries and I researched on the materials and sustainability which I can utilize for the eco villa.

 However, in the beginning of the module, it was interesting and motivated to come up with different ideas to develop the project and come up with a final outcomes. Eventually, it was getting challenging and hard with working on the 2d outcomes such as elevational drawings, concept sketches, sectional drawings and site plan. I was struggling with how to take my ideas in to a drawing paper and develop my ideas. For examples: I have drawn the concept sketches and elevational drawings more than three times because of the wrong scales and wrong drawing perspectives. Thus, I have been several challenges but I could survive and came up with solutions such as I drew the concept , elevational drawings again by experimenting and getting help from the tutor as well. Even though, in the middle of the project, I could not manage the time with developing the outcomes but I could manage the time later during the progress. I was successful to complete my 2d outcomes as well as the 3d prototype model during the week eight.

During the project, I have faced challenges as well as I improved my skills and talents. My biggest challenge was put my ideas in to a drawing paper. At first, it was quiet challenging and hard for me. But, after doing experiments and practising with different types of drawing , I overcame this struggle. Thus, I improved my drawing, problem solving as well as crafting skill throughout the AP1 project.
