Location/site and demographics of the Eco Villa

For my Project, I decided to design an eco villa since my initial theme is earthly delight. I wanted to design this eco villa in a different and special location where tourists and people travel to enjoy and rest. For example, Sri Lanka is an island which is attracted by tourists due its natural beauty and wonders.  Therefore, I decided to research on famous and suitable places in Sri Lanka to design an eco villa. During my research, I found many places such as Kandy,Mirissa , Galle, Colombo, Jaffna and Minneriya. However, after I consider the architectural style" Tropical Modernism"  which I am going to apply for the eco  villa, I planned to research on Mirissa as the place and climatical condition is suitable for it.

" Mirissa is home to the picture-postcard beaches of Sri Lanka, but beyond its warm golden beaches, its azure waters hold many wonders". Mirissa is a seaside city situated near the south coast of Sri Lanka. Furthermore, the town has some of the country's best beaches. However, there are few benefits that captured my attention to design an eco villa here. For an example , Mirissa is an excellent place for surfing and snorkelling and country's premier whale watching destination.

Then, I selected three locations and I selected one specific location after considering the easiness of infrastructure facilities such a transportation, restaurants and hospitals.  These are the three locations.

                                                                      The Location

 

This is the final location and I am going to design my eco villa here. According to the site, the measurements are 37.32m, 26.31m, 29,86m and 22.90m. 

Moreover, I designed this eco villa mainly for families with children . 

For my project, I am targeting millennials specially old millennials.  I am targeting at millennials who earn more than $35000 per annually and looking forward to spend the time with their family apart from the busy city lifestyle. Since the eco villa is located in near the sea and it allows people to relax and allow them forget the busy work lifestyle.
