First Thoughts : Themes

 For the creation of set project , I have been through the brief description of themes which I can use for the project. The themes are Expressionism, Earthly Delights, Bauhaus and Mixed Media Art . As an Architecture student, I focussed on  all of these themes in order to understand the difference between each themes.  "Expressionism theme" can be defined as Art movements which were existed in 1905- 1933. Expressionism in Architecture can be described as creation of buildings in order expression feeling, though or an idea. And also," Earthly Delights" in Architecture defines as the usage of sustainable, recyclable and local materials in Architecture. Apart from these themes, "Bauhaus" theme describes focussing on functional and modernist approach in Architecture. Moreover, "Mixed Media Art "theme can be defined as the usage of mixed medias and materials in Architecture.

However, after I have been through the themes , I am mostly drawn towards the "Earthly Delights" theme as it focusses on usage of sustainable , recyclable, local and natural elements in Architecture. I am always interested in to bring out my creations with the mixture of natural elements which is eco- friendly. Apart from this, I was thinking to use natural materials such as wood, clay and adding natural elements such as water bodies and greenery elements. Furthermore, when I was going through these themes, "an Eco house / Villa "came to my mind as it was relevant to my chosen theme. And also, I am always getting inspired by "Geoffery Bawa" who was the pioneer of "Tropical Modernism ". Therefore, when I was thinking about my initial thought , his idea and work came to my mind. And this is one of the example for my initial idea.
