Creating a Website: Homepage
Today we started to create our own website. I started to create my website by going to WIX and I chose a template which is in my subject are "Architecture". And this is the template that I selected.
My next step was to check my "home page" and whether it is visible, So I went to the left hand tools and clicked "pages and menu", I then checked whether there was a "eye cross" which means it is not visible and the page was hidden. Therefore, I clicked the "three dots" and selected "show page "in the drop down box. After that , I clicked on the text of the name of the site and changed it into my name. Then I chose "Marcellus" font which I intend to use throughout the website.
I chose the font "Marcellus" which was 75px for my name and I chose "Libre Baskerville" which was 38px for my subject area "Architecture". Then I dragged both of my name and subject area in to the header.
And then I went to left hand tools and I clicked "Pages and Menu" and I deleted unnecessary pages such as building, location and inquire . Then I add other pages such as portfolio", "contact pages". Therefore, I checked whether there were my needed pages which were "Home", "about" , "Portfolio" and "Contact. And I checked if they are visible in my navigation bar.
After that, I started to delete unnecessary pages in the header and customized according my website.
This is my first draft of my home page of the website. I will keep update and changes I make here.
